Five towns will now have fibre coverage for the first time: Agilde, Borba de Montanha, Codeçoso, Fervença and Moreira do Castelo.

At the same time, coverage will be reinforced in locations that are already partially served, namely Arnóia, Basto (Santa Tecla), Carvalho, Gagos and Ourilhe.

With this intervention, Celorico de Basto is approaching the connectivity levels of large urban areas, which will ensure that its inhabitants have access to fast, reliable internet with a wider range of services offered by various operators.

Present in the municipality since 2015, dstelecom continues to focus on improving fibre optic coverage in regions with less access to technological infrastructure, with a view to promoting digital inclusion and local development.
