The town of Tresminas, in the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, now has multi-operator fiber optic coverage. The expansion, promoted by dstelecom, has given around 450 homes access to high-speed digital services for the first time, contributing to greater technological inclusion in the region.
And the expansion continues: in the coming months, the network will be extended to a further 1,200 new homes in the localities of Alvão Bragado, Pensalvos and Parada de Monteiros. All told, around 11,500 families will now have access to high-speed internet. With this new phase, the total number of homes with coverage in the municipality is approaching 11,500, consolidating the infrastructure's presence in the territory and expanding the connectivity options available to the population.
The arrival of fiber optics in these locations is particularly important, as most of them are areas that until now remained beyond the reach of this technology. Their inclusion in a network expansion project therefore represents a significant step forward in combating digital inequalities and strengthening territorial cohesion.
The population can now check the availability of fibre coverage in their area by sending an email to euquerofibra@dstelecom.pt with their full address and, ideally, GPS coordinates. Alternatively, they can also call 800 910 660 free of charge.
