The parish of Vilarinho da Castanheira, in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, began 2026 with access to multi-operator fiber optic broadband. This expansion, led by dstelecom, will ensure high-speed internet for households in the region.
In this parish, where there had previously been no fiber coverage, 500 new homes have now been connected, bringing the total number of households in the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães with access to high-speed internet to around 6,000. This development represents a significant step forward for the quality of life of the local population and for the area’s appeal, both to residents and businesses.
As the main telecommunications operators in Portugal provide their services via dstelecom’s infrastructure, households now benefit from complete freedom of choice when subscribing to television, internet and telephone services.
Residents can now check the availability of fiber coverage in their area by sending an email to euquerofibra@dstelecom.pt with their full address and, ideally, GPS coordinates. Alternatively, they can also call 800 910 660 free of charge.
