Fiber expansion in Odeleite creates new opportunities in the Algarve countryside, with over 730 homes connected to broadband

Since 2015, dstelecom has been operating in the municipality of Chamusca and has now upgraded the capacity of its fiber-optic network, which now covers more than 4,700 homes.

800 homes will be connected by the end of June in Anelhe, Arcossó, Selhariz, Vilas Boas and Vilela do Tâmega. Throughout the second half of the year, the fiber network will reach another 2,400 homes, totaling 3,200 families in 2026.

dstelecom has just announced that, by the end of June 2026, it will be expanding its fiber optic network in Ribeira de Pena, in a project that will enable around 2,500 new homes to gain access to the latest broadband services.

Connectivity has become a key factor in the competitiveness of tourist accommodation. Hotels, local accommodation, rural tourism, hostels, resorts and other venues need fast and reliable digital solutions to meet guests expectations and operational requirements.

In Fronteira since 2015, dstelecom has just upgraded the capacity of its fiber optic network in Cabeço de Vide, covering a total of around 2,800 homes.

The roll-out of fiber optic broadband in Montalegre now covers 1,700 homes, boosting digital inclusion and providing high-speed internet to families in areas that were previously not covered.
