The parishes of Gontim, Monte (in Luilhas) and Queimadela (in Argande), in the municipality of Fafe, now have multi-operator fiber optic coverage.
The expansion, led by dstelecom, has enabled around 250 homes to gain access to high-speed digital services for the first time, contributing to greater digital inclusion in the region.
The arrival of fiber-optic broadband in these areas is of particular importance, as they are, for the most part, areas that until now had remained beyond the reach of this technology. Their inclusion in a network expansion project therefore represents a significant step forward in tackling digital inequalities and strengthening territorial cohesion.
As the main operators in Portugal provide their services to end consumers via dstelecom’s infrastructure, households will have freedom of choice when subscribing to television, internet and telephone services.
Residents of Fafe can now check the availability of fiber in their area via our coverage page or by sending an email to euquerofibra@dstelecom.pt with their full address and, ideally, GPS coordinates. Alternatively, they can also call 800 910 660.
