800 homes will be connected by the end of June in Anelhe, Arcossó, Selhariz, Vilas Boas and Vilela do Tâmega. Throughout the second half of the year, the fiber network will reach another 2,400 homes, totaling 3,200 families in 2026.
dstelecom will launch its multi-operator fiber optic network in the municipality of Chaves by the end of June, with initial coverage of 800 homes, in an expansion plan that covers five parishes in the interior of Trás-os-Montes that until now have no access to next-generation broadband infrastructure.
The first locations to integrate the network will be Anelhe, Arcossó, Selhariz, Vilas Boas, and Vilela do Tâmega, territories where the demand for high-capacity internet has been growing, accompanying the settlement of new residents, nature tourism, and the modernization of the agricultural economy.

Throughout the second half of the year, the company will continue expanding the network, bringing fiber to another 2,400 homes. In total, by the end of the year, approximately 3,200 families will benefit from next-generation connectivity.
“The entry into Chaves reflects dstelecom’s determination to structurally correct the country’s digital asymmetries. The municipality now has an advanced and open communications network, capable of boosting new opportunities for families, businesses, and local institutions,” emphasizes Ricardo Salgado, CEO of dstelecom.
The dstelecom network is neutral and open: this possibility ensures that consumers can choose their service and operator according to their needs, while enjoying more competitive prices.
